Sailing – it makes perfect business sense!

When did you last attend a corporate day? Perhaps it was a networking event, team building activity or a company knees-up. Whatever the occasion, did it have a big impact on you and your team? Was it enthralling and beneficial – boosting motivation, improving professional relationships and unveiling a few hidden talents along the way?

If your answer is no, don’t worry – that’s not unusual and you’re certainly not alone. But while we’ve all encountered our fair share of uninspiring corporate days, all is not lost. Far from it, in fact. Here’s how to overhaul your business events with meaning and flair.

The ingredients for a winning corporate day

The very best corporate days are unique, exciting and memorable for months or even years to come. But how do you find an event or activity to become the stuff of legend? Look no further than the open water, a luxury yacht, and a little help from an experienced crew. It’s time to consider sailing.

Sailing isn’t always an obvious choice for a corporate day, but that’s what makes it such a winning choice? From the moment you send that email invite, there will be a buzz about the office. Clients will clear their diary without a moment’s hesitation. Because sailing is for everyone: for those who relish excitement, a challenge with a difference, and even the chance to relax with a beverage and canapes. Sailing days can be tailored entirely to you and your business.

Our day with Red Bull

Red Bull's marketing team enjoying a corporate sailing dayHere at Viking Mariners, we’ve had the chance to welcome some fantastic teams aboard our yachts over the years. Recently we were joined by the incredible Red Bull, and we’re pleased to report that their outgoing persona didn’t disappoint!

Our crew put the 10 person Red Bull marketing team through their paces during a half day sail. We were really impressed with the way they got stuck in and helped the crew – and each other – throughout every activity.

After blowing the cobwebs away, the Red Bull team returned to their accommodation at The Old Neptune in Ipswich ready to get stuck in to planning their presentations ready for the following morning.
