Sailing for Singles: New for 2015

It goes without saying that we love sailing. But we love it even more when we can share the experience with others. For some of us, it’s just not possible to persuade friends or family to come along and have a go. And with our new Sailing for Singles day, that doesn’t mean you should miss out on an unforgettable experience.

A fantastic way to get to know new faces

First up, don’t worry. We haven’t gone all ‘match.com’ on you. This is not a cheesy dating event – no speed dating or awkward introductions here. Instead, it’s a chance to meet and chat with like-minded individuals, all while taking part in a fun, exhilarating activity.

Some of you will be ‘single’. Some of you won’t. Either way, you’re all welcome. As we’ve seen time and time again during corporate team building days, sailing is a fantastic way to get to know new faces. You’ll be at ease in no time at all.

What does Sailing for Singles entail?

Single people enjoying sailing

The full-day Sailing for Singles event begins early in the morning departing from Ipswich marina. The group will head out onto the water aboard one of our stylish vessels, complete with full catering and of course our experienced Viking Mariners crew. Our skipper, Lee, is a dab hand at breaking the ice. You’ll feel like part of the team right away.

It doesn’t matter if you have zero experience or are a sailing fanatic. Sailing for Singles is open to all abilities, ages and interests. As we cruise down the beautiful River Orwell in Suffolk, you’ll have the chance to chat with the group and try your hand at sailing. Depending on numbers, we may even take a flotilla out onto the water.

To ensure you get the most from the day, we ask that you fill out a short profile to let us know a little more about yourself. We’ll use this information to match you to the right sailing group, because it’s our priority that you all get on well!
